# Mission Offline

> Mission Offline (missionoffline.org) is one unified creator platform with specialized sections. One account works everywhere: news, books, video, live broadcasting, short video, posts, communities and creative tools. It is not advertiser-funded, there is no platform ad network, no ad profiling and no sale of personal data.

Founded in 2026 by Riley. The newsroom side combines original reporting with curated coverage from vetted outlets, where every external story carries transparent bias and factuality indicators. The platform side lets independent creators publish, broadcast and be supported directly by readers. Reading is never paywalled.

## What Mission Offline is

- A creator platform with per-section experiences (magazine-style news, shelf-style video, feed-style posts), not a social network optimized for time-on-site.
- Creator-owned: creators keep their rights, set their own licensing (including Creative Commons), and receive direct support. Contributor terms prohibit use of contributor work for AI model training.
- Reader-controlled: recommendations are steerable, feeds are tunable, and no dark patterns are used.
